De Rockland, Ontario, est décédée le vendredi 16 décembre 2022 entourée de sa famille, à l’âge de 49 ans.  Épouse bien-aimée et Soulmate de Kevin Mullen. Chère fille de feu Peter Mous et de feu Carmen Patry. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Madeleine, Jonathan et Geneviève. Chère sœur de Vincent (Makiko). Elle laisse également sa belle-mère Mariette (feu Robert), son beau-frère Joey (Julie), ses nièces, son neveu et ses amis.

Sincères remerciements au personnel formidable et attentionné de l’Institut de cardiologie de l’Université d’Ottawa à l’Hôpital Civic.

Des dons à CHEO peuvent être faits.

Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Très-Sainte-Trinité, 2178, rue Laurier Rockland Ont., le jeudi 22 décembre 2022 à 13h.

I was so heartbroken to hear of Valerie's passing. She will be greatly missed at CHEO and Staff Forum. She was such a kind and gentle soul. Heaven has taken one of our "earth angels". My sincerest condolences to her family.

On behalf of everyone at CHEO, I express the sadness so many are feeling over the loss of our dear colleague Valerie. In her role in the Finance Department, she was one of the key behind-the-scenes players who help make sure everything can happen so kids get the clinical care they need. As a kind, caring colleague and a devoted organizer on our staff association, she earned the loyalty and affection of so many of us at CHEO. Always there for the team, pitching in, organizing events, helping others. She is the kind of person that gives CHEO its own sense of community. There is enormous sadness here at CHEO - we will miss you very much Valerie. To her family, loved ones and friends, we extend our sincere condolences.

Dear Kevin and family, I am so sorry for your loss and so heartbroken. Valerie was such a kind, sweet and thoughtful person. She always had a smile on her lovely face. She always made time to help anyone on the CHEO team, both for us in Finance and any other employees who needed her help. I will miss her so much. She not only was there to help with work, but added fun to all our Finance events she always helped with Halloween, potlucks, wedding, birthdays, showers and so many other events for her collegues. Not to mention the many amazing events she arranged for all employees at CHEO for Staff Forum. We have lost a true angel who gave so much joy. I am truly blessed to have known Valerie, I will miss you. Much love and hugs to you all.
