Obituary

Born in Italy, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 6th 2023, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Antonietta (Battista) Flocco. Dear son of the late Filippo Flocco and the late Costantina (Gravino) Flocco. Loving father of Dina (Stephen Miller) and Filippo (Monique). Cherished Nonno of Giovanna Miller, Kayla and Audra Flocco. Dear brother of Olga, Mario and predeceased by his other siblings: Rosaria, Jiacomo, Nicola, Maria and Bettina. Will be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Donations in memory of Antonio to the Breath – Lung Association may be made if desired.

“Antonio was a community man always welcoming friends & neighbors over for an espresso or for a glass of homemade wine.  He was always willing to offer a helping hand.
As a pass time, he really enjoyed making cement vases and they were greatly admired by his community.”

A Funeral service will be held at the St. Anthony of Padua Church, 427 Booth St, Ottawa ON K1R7K8

on Tuesday December 12th 2023, at 10 am.

Mr. Antonio Flocco was a man of wisdom. I enjoyed his company as he was a genuine man with positive advice that shared good stories. He had a great peaceful smile that was contagious. A man of the old days of integrity and respect. He will be missed greatly! To Filippo Flocco and Dina Miller my deepest condolences to your families. Vivat Jesus! I have fond memories of sitting with Filippo and his Dad Antonio around the kitchen table chatting about anything and everything over a glass of his "Speciale" (homemade wine) .
