Obituary

Of Rockland, Ontario, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Monique (nee Chabot and beloved mother of their children), and beloved spouse of Madeleine Hupé. He was the son of the late Aurèle Chrétien and the late Simone (Charbonneau). He is survived by his loving children: Louise (Yvon Mayer), Lucie, Christiane (Daniel Lemay), Micheline, Patrick (Annie Lortie); his grandchildren: Nadia (Tomy Bouchard), Sarah and Valérie Mayer (Ahmed Sakr), Véronique (Sébastien Juneau) and Jocelyn Lemay (Jaclyn Tompalski), Julie and Sophie Giroux (Tei Seizinger), Marc-Olivier, Janie and William Chrétien and his great grandchildren: Isabella Giroux, Thomas and Naomie Bouchard, Chloé, Talia and Zavier Juneau as well as Rose and Vanessa Seizinger. He is also survived by his brother and two sisters: Henri-Claude (Michelle), Odette (Michel Etchelecou) and Francine Lalonde (Raymond Bélanger), as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Caroline Mayer, his brother and sisters: Jean-Guy (Rachelle), Jacqueline (late Philippe Bernard) and Nicole (Richard Larose). The family would like to thank the team of the Manoir Rockland, as well as Sylvie Malette and the team of the Champlain Home and Community Care Support Services for their excellent care and compassion. Donations to the Parkinson Canada Foundation can be made if desired.

The funeral will be celebrated in the privacy of the family.
