Obituary
Originally of Clarence Cree and most of his life of Wendover, Ontario, Louis Bélisle passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Catherine (Tourbier), he was the son of the late Gérard Bélisle and the late Thérèse (Chamard). He is survived by his three children: Sylvia, Jean-François (Annie Laviolette), Christine and his grandchildren whom he loved very much: Claudia, Ève and Ariane Dufour. Dear brother of Pierre, Monique Bélisle (Céline Gratton) and Marie Bélisle. He will be missed by his nephew Samuel and his niece Anna, his cousins and relatives of the Bélisle family. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Nicole Tourbier, his brother-in-law, Pascal (Michèle), his sisters-in-law, Brigitte (Robert), Ingrid Tourbier, as well as his nephews and nieces, Guillaume, Florent, Stéphanie, Delphine, Virginie, and the Tourbier family of France. In addition, many friends will remember him warmly. The family wishes to thank the Sainte-Elizabeth and Champlain Home Care team as well as the team at the Montfort Hospital, for their good care and compassion. Donations to the Alzheimer Society may be made in Louis’ memory.
According to his last wishes, a private funeral will be held.
