Obituary

It is with great sadness that the Chénier family announces the passing of Mr. Michel Chénier, of Gloucester, ON, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with COPD, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (Brazeau), the son of the late Philippe Chénier and the late Gabrielle (Loiselle). Survived by his 2 adored sons: Benoit (Jennifer Christie), Patrick (Kaitlyn Gratton) and his 2 cherished granddaughters: Mélanie and Camélia Chénier. He also leaves his brother and his sisters: Richard, Rita Chenier, Rachelle Brisson (late Daniel Brisson) and Chantal Chenier as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his sister, Jeanine (late Jean Guy Leroux). The family would like to thank the Montfort Hospital team for the excellent care given to Michel. Donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada Foundation.

The funeral will be celebrated on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Nos sympathies à ses 2 garçons, leurs brus, et ses 2 petites-filles. Les samedis vont nous sembler long maintenant. Et il reste encore beaucoup de bacon dans le congélateur. On va le manger en pensant à lui. Depuis qu'il avait eu 65 ans, au moins à toutes les 2 semaines, il disait qu'il ne se rendrait pas à 66 ans. Et sa mort avant le 1er juin a prouvé qu'il avait raion. Repose en paix, cher Michel et veille sur nous tous.
