Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that Nora Pinaud announces the passing of her beloved husband Paul Pinaud on July 15, 2022 at the Ottawa Heart Institute at the age of 64.

Dear son of the late Albert Pinaud and the late Germaine Chénier. He was a very loving and caring husband to Nora, a devoted father to his son Albert (Mélanie) and a cherished brother to his twin sister Pauline.

He is also survived by his brother Louis-Ivan (Carol), his nieces Claire (Rishi) and Blaise (Ash), his nephew Marc (Stephanie), three grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.

He will also be greatly missed by Albert’s mother, Betty. Predeceased by his sister Suzanne. Donations to the charity of your choice may be made.

Nora, Albert, Pauline and all of Paul's family, I wish to offer my sincere condolences. It was such a shock and very sad. I met Paul 22 years ago at a conference in Regina and on occasion our paths crossed on Sparks Street when he was at Industry Canada and I was at the Senate of Canada where Paul had worked years prior, For the last couple of years we were part of the same Friday afternoon Zoom meeting. It was always a pleasure to listen to Paul who was so knowledgeable and well informed on many issues and subjects. He was soft spoken, witty and humourous both in French and English. I'm sorry I cannot be present for the funeral. He will be missed.
