Obituary
Of Wendover, Ontario, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Hélène (Chénier), son of the late Joseph Viau and the late Lucille Brazeau. He leaves his cherished children: Julie and Christian (Rachel Barbe) and his granddaughter, Kassidy Pinnock. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Madeleine, Claudette (Gilles Charlebois), Vincent (Linda Robillard), Maurice (late Joanne Villeneuve), Pierre (Nicole Ouellette), Carole (Ron Haines), Richard (Linda Danis) and Robert as well as several nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister and two brothers: Juliette (late Edgar Raymond), Fernand (late Marie-Andrée Leclair) and Louis (Danielle Potvin). The family would like to thank the Hawkesbury General Hospital Cancer Center for their excellent care and compassion. Donations to the cancer society can be made.
Raymond was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree – Council 9423 of Wendover, very involved in the community, where he put a lot of effort into supporting the parish church of St-Benoit-Labre of Wendover.
The funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Saint-Benoit-Labre Church, Wendover, Ontario. The family will receive condolences at the church before the service from at 10 a.m.
