Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Sanscartier, originally of Rockland, Ont., beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend, on Wednesday January 29th, 2025, at the age of 74. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was a successful entrepreneur and founder of S&S Electric, a visionary whose dedication and hard work built more than just a business, it built a family. His commitment to the company and its people went above and beyond the workplace. He will be remembered for his generosity to his community, his ability to listen and provide guidance to his peers in the business world, his implication and dedication to Franco-Ontarian causes, and for his loyalty to his friends and family. Most of all, he would want to be remembered as a proud grandfather. Of all the accolades, trophies, plaques, awards, and recognitions he received throughout his career, his grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy. His heart and strength left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to share in his life. He was a cherished patriarch, a loving husband, an exceptional father and a true friend to many.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Francine (nee Frappier), his daughter Rachel (Gilles Galipeau), his son Eric, and his grandchildren Jessica Landers, Michel Sanscartier, Marie-Ève Galipeau, Élizabeth Sanscartier, and Mathieu Galipeau.
Brother of: Louise (André Barrette), Claire (Philippe Saumure), Bernard (late Hélène), Hector (Lise), Richard (Louise), Suzanne (Jean-Marc Villeneuve), Daniel (Louise) and Jules (Claire). He will be fondly remembered by Gilles’ daughter, Joanie, many in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Léo Sanscartier and Stéphanie Richer and his sister Johanne.
Searching for the words that truly encapsulate his life, no sentiment could more accurately define his journey: WHILE ALIVE, HE LIVED
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
The family wishes to thank Dr. A. Gauthier and the home care staff for their good care and compassion.
