Of Wendover, Ontario, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of the late Rosaire Gratton, daughter of the late Ubald Carrière and the late Laurette Jobin.
Claire was cheerful, welcoming and generous with her time. As a young woman, she worked at the Montfort Hospital nursery, of which she was very proud. While raising her children, she put her talents as a seamstress at the service of those in need of alterations and repairs. Claire was also a member of the Ordre des Filles d’Isabelle and the Cercle des Fermières de Wendover, where she enjoyed craft projects with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Gisèle), Paul (Suzanne Gervais) and Thérèse (Michel Bergeron); her grandchildren Samuel (Jacquelyn), Guillaume (Michaela), Jacynthe (Dane), Vincent, Francis, Élianne and Michaël (Mélissa); and her great-grandchildren Arielle, Jordyn, Milan and Zayn.
She was predeceased by her brother Lucien and sister Aurore, as well as many in-laws.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Centre d’accueil Roger-Séguin in Clarence Creek for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at Saint-Benoît-Labre Church, 3182 Principale St, Wendover, ON, on (date to be confirmed).
The family will receive condolences at the church 45 min. prior the service.
