Obituary

(Nee Dale) of Pendleton, Ontario, was welcomed home into the arms of our Lord on June 22, 2023, in her 100th year.  Beloved wife of the late Edgar Shane.  Dear daughter of the late Franklin Dale and the late Kathleen Curran.  Loving mother of Louise (late Robert Marchand), Diane (André St-Amour) and Stuart (Nicole Beaudin).  Cherished grandmother of Denis Marchand (Frances Brewster), Claude Marchand, Michelle Marchand (Patrick Charette), Paul Marchand.  Proud great-grandmother of Matthew, Christopher and Michael Marchand, Hillary Van Moorsel, Alexandre and Samantha Charette.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews from the Shane and Dale families.

Predeceased by her brother Thomas Dale (late Velma), sisters: Catharine (late Dennis Carrigan) and Edna (late  Howard Schiedel), sisters-in-law: Isabel Shane (late Lionel Shane), Kathleen (late Norval Benson), Dorcas (late Patrick Gunning).

A special thank you to the PSW’s and nurses at the Roger Séguin Long Term Care Centre in Clarence Creek who were very caring towards mother in her last years.  Prior to that, mother spent many happy, active years at Jardins Belle Rive in Rockland.

A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Divine Love Church, 2084 Concession Rd 10, Pendleton, Ontario on Thursday June 29th, 2023, at 1 pm, followed by burial at the parish cemetery.

My sincere condolences to the family! I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet woman, when I visited my Mom at Jardins Belle Rive! I would always sit beside her and chat for a while! She had this beautiful caring energy and always in a good mood! She would put down her paper when she would see me as she knew I would chat with her before going to my Mom’s room! What a beautiful soul she is! Rest in peace Mrs. Shane!
