(Nee Gatien) Of Rockland, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the age of 59. Dear daughter of Annette (née Ledoux) and the late Ronald Gatien. Loving mother of Sophie (Robert Burns) and Simon (Kierstian MacLeod). Cherished grandmother of Wyatt Burns, Callum, Claire and Lily MacLoed and Jacob Saumure. Dear sister of Denis Gatien, Robert Gatien, Lise Gatien, Suzanne Gatien and Roxanne Longpré. Will be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

For those who wish, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation can be made in Mrs. Saumure’s memory.

Je viens tout juste d'apprendre le décès de Nicole. J'offre mes sincères condoléances à toute la famille, surtout à ses enfants, Sophie et Simon. J'ai connu Nicole bien avant tous les problèmes de santé auxquels elle a dû faire face durant sa courte vie. Je suis rassurée de savoir qu'elle ne souffre plus et je souhaite beaucoup de courage à ses enfants, à sa maman, à ses frères et à ses soeurs. Je pense à vous tous en ces temps difficiles.
