Obituary

Originally from Cheney, Ontario, now from Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham, Quebec, passed away peacefully at home, outside at sunset, surrounded by his family on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 78. He was the beloved partner of Louise Cyr, the son of the late Fernand Legault and the late Marie-Claire (Guindon). He is survived by his two beloved daughters: Marie-Josée (Jaxon Picard) and Dominik (Michel Gauthier). Cherished brother of the late Jean-Mathieu (Denyse), Françoise (the late Jean-Marc Lafontaine), Michel (Val-Marie), and Monique (Vincent Thivierge). He will be missed by his brother-in-law Michel Cyr, his sister-in-law Diane Guilbeault, the mother of his daughters, Julie Roy, as well as the Roy family, his nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends.

The family wishes to thank the team of 4A and the cardiopulmonary clinic at Montfort Hospital for the excellent care and compassion shown to Robert. Donations to the Montfort Foundation can be made in memory of Robert.

A celebration of life will take place in the intimacy of family and close ones, on Saturday September 6th 2025 at 11 am.
