Obituary

Originally from Warren, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the age of 94. He was the devoted husband of his loving wife, the late Marielle Cayen (née Morin), and the dear son of the late Télesphore Cayen and late Bibianne Cayen (née Gauthier).
He leaves his children: Pierrette, Paul (Lucie), Daniel (Gabrielle), Monique and Marc-André, as well as his grandchildren: Isabelle Cayen (Greg Morley), Stéphane (Carmen Lebar), Véronique (Marc-André Ferris) and Alexandre Labrosse, and Olivier Papp. He was the cherished great-grandfather of Hudson and Carter Morley, as well as Camille and William Ferris. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by all other siblings: Roger (late Ellen), Jeanne d’Arc (late Gérard), Jackie (Ron Whalen), Richard (late Evelyn), Raymond (Patricia) and Madeleine (late Gordon).

The family would like to thank Dre Marie-Josée Forgues, as well as Ken Picard and the entire team at the Centre d’accueil Roger Séguin for their excellent care, support, and great compassion.

A celebration of Bernard’s life will be held privately at a later date.
