De Rockland, Ontario, est décédé accidentellement le dimanche 19 juillet 2026, à l’âge de 21 ans.

Il était le fils bien-aimé de Bill Gilhuis et Rosanna (née Feenstra).

Il laisse également ses frères et sa soeur: Daniel (Erika), Aaron (Nicole), Megan (Enrique) et Josh (Keisha), ses grands-parents Hans et Marie Feenstra, ses neveux et nièces : Maicaiah, Ezra, Isaiah, Gideon, Elias, August, Saskia, le bébé Munoz, ainsi que de nombreux oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines et amis.

Les funérailles auront lieu à l’église New Beginning, située au 954, rue Giroux à Rockland, le vendredi 24 juillet 2026 à 10 h. suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière et une rencontre à l’église.

I will never forget when Jacob ran inside their house and came back with his offering in both of his palms and asked me, "is this okay?" Quietly, I said to myself, this kid has a heart for God. This was during NBC's summer picnic and water baptism service at the Gilhuis home.
