Mrs. Chantal Labelle
(nee Benoit)
Originally from St-Albert, now of Bourget, Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Pierre Labelle and daughter of the late Sylvio Benoit and the late Noëlla (Auprix). Loving mother of Mélanie (Cameron Woodard) and Alyssa and cherished grandmother of Théa and William Woodard. Dear sister of Odette (the late Ovila Benoit), Rachelle Benoit, Jeannine (Raymond Richer), Richard (Madeleine), Réjean (Francine), Gérald (Anne-Marie), Reynald (Monique), Pierrette (François Sabourin), and Louise (Michel Voisine). She will be fondly remembered by her in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Yvon.
The family would like to thank home care coordinators Megan MacDonald and Clara Dumontier, as well as the home palliative care team: Geneviève Lalumière, Dr. Jessica Roy, and Dr. Mychèle Denault, along with Tia, Martin, Geneviève, and Véronica from SE Health.
We would also like to acknowledge The Ottawa Hospital, specifically the Cancer Center on the 2nd floor, for the exceptional care Chantal received over the years. We extend special thanks to Dr. Xinni Song, Dr. Edward James Fitzgibbon, and Dr. Jean-Michel Caudrelier, as well as their extraordinary support teams.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, designated for cancer research, may be made in Chantal’s memory.
The funeral service will be held at St. Albert Church, 123 Principale Street, St. Albert, Ontario, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The family will receive condolences at the church starting at 10:00 a.m.
