Mr. Gilles Proulx

Obituary

Mr. Gilles Proulx, of Sarsfield, Ontario, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 88. He was the husband of the late Rachelle Duquette, the son of the late Alphonse Proulx and the late Jeanne Labrèche. Beloved father of Raynald (Sylvie Bozozuk), Ghislain, and Mireille Proulx; dear grandfather of: Pascal, France, Jean-Daniel, Véronique (Jacques Diotte), Alexandre (Jennifer Gagnier), Amélie (Edouard Marava), and Dominique. He was the great-grandfather of Laurent, Hailey, Donté, Elizabeth, and Ève. He also leaves his sister, Murielle (Jean Lemay), as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Viateur (Diane Leroux) and his two sisters, Nicole (the late Cécilien Beausoleil) and Ghislaine (Philippe Lepage). In memory of Mr. Proulx, donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation if desired.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the Saint-Sébastien Church, 1000 Frances Street, Ottawa, ON K1K 3L5.

The family will receive condolences at the church before the service at 10 a.m.
