In Loving Memory of Léon Clairoux

It is with immense sadness, yet also with deep gratitude for a life filled with love, that we announce the passing of Léon Clairoux of Navan, Ontario, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Léon has been reunited with the love of his life, his beloved wife, Jeannette Plante, with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage. He was the son of the late Claudia Robinson and the late Ferdinand Cléroux.
He is survived by his beloved only son, André Cléroux (Louise Lefebvre); his cherished grandchildren, Josianne and Michel Cléroux (Anylie); and his four great-grandchildren, Mila, Liam, Alexy, and Audrey. He also leaves the members of his in-laws’ family, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Lucien Cléroux (Laurence Cléroux).

Léon was a man of exceptional kindness. A man of great humility, he lived his life with simplicity, generosity, and a quiet strength that inspired respect in all who knew him. He found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones. His warm smile, his gentleness, his sense of humor, and the many stories he loved to tell will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of loving him.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for their attentive care and compassion.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
