Mrs. Danielle Viau

Of Wendover, Ont., passed away on Wednesday June 24th 2026, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Louis Viau and the daughter of the late Georges Potvin and the late Meldréa (nee Larose). Dear mother of : Caroline (Pascal Lefebvre) and Antoni (Julie De Repentigny). She will be missed by her grandchildren: Véronic (Jules Gingras), Benjamin, Julien Lefebvre, and Danica and Alexis Viau; her two great-granddaughters: Makenzie and Mélodie. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Suzanne (Jean-Pierre Kingsley), as well as many in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister, Ginette Potvin.
Though small in stature, Danielle was a force of nature—hardworking and full of energy. She led a life full of adventure, spanning her long career at RCMP Human Resources, her hunting and fishing trips, summers spent camping, and over 40 years of a deeply happy marriage. Devoted to her family and friends, she was a vibrant mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved with all her heart and leaves behind happy memories that bring a smile to our faces.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday July 2nd 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
At the request of the deceased, a private ceremony will be held for family and close friends.
