Mrs. Huguette Lafontaine
(nee Drouin)

Of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Wilfrid Drouin and the late Élozia Meloche.
Beloved mother of Carole (Réjean “Joe” Desjardins), Sylvie (the late Florian “Coco” Bellemare), and Pierre (Sonia Dicaire). Cherished grandmother of François, Caroline (Nicolas Roy), Mélanie (Michel Grenier), Eric (Natasha Lanthier), Alexandre (Gabrièle Caza-Levert), and Domenik (Rachel Valiquette). Proud great-grandmother of Caitlin and Avery Mitchell, Mélodie and Félix Roy, Tiana and Bryson Mayden, Wyatt Bellemare, Léah, Maïa, Stella, and Joëlle Lafontaine, Chad, Leah and Emma. Dear sister of Marielle (late Valveno Zimola), her twin sister Lorraine (late Aurèle Charette), Monique (late René Baker), Diane Desjardins (Denis Cleroux), Lynn (Jacques St-Denis), and Yvon. She will be fondly remembered by her in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Rhéal Lafontaine, and her brother, Réjean.

The funeral will be held at the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
The family will receive condolences at the church from at 9:30 a.m.
