“Rachel lived most of her life in Northern Ontario in a beautiful little village called Moonbeam, it was her home town. It was there that she developed and passed on all her great and beautiful life values.  There she married, raised her children, shared countless family gatherings and valued true friendships. She was proud to be a part of Nativity of Mary Parish and to belong to the Order of the Daughters of Isabella of Moonbeam.  She was known as an excellent cook both with her family and at parish banquets. And finally, she dedicated herself to the well-being of the vulnerable as an attendant at the Extendicare Long Term Care Home in Kapuskasing.

She enjoyed spending her summers at Ouellette Bay Campground in Moonbeam surrounded by family and friends. In 2004, she moved to Rockland to be with her children. She loved to receive, give, laugh and share everyone’s little joys as well as their sorrows and pains. She loved to read, listen to her soap operas, play cards and share good food in good company. Her door was always open and inviting. Her good neighbors in Rockland could certainly attest to this. We will all miss his presence, his boundless energy and his good humor.” Donations to the Arthritis Society of Ontario can be made.
